On a day that started warm and dry at the end of June, the Executive Committee of the Washington State Hi-Lakers met at a quaint cabin in Skykomish. Many thanks to Don and Belinda Wicklund for hosting the special event!

We discussed many subjects at the meeting, but here are the highlights:

Dues – Dues will remain $10 and are payable via PayPal, cash or check. What a bargain! Our PayPal address is: fishidcard@hilakers.org. Now there is no excuse for not paying your dues on time!

Amphibian Reporting – While out on fishing trips, be sure to take notes and pictures of any amphibians you see. Soon you will have the ability to attach pictures directly to your survey report. This new feature will be a great place to add images of amphibian, fish or any other subjects that complement your survey. Please note, this is a separate function to adding pictures to the Lake-Finder.

Bylaw Changes – At the September meeting we will discuss recommended bylaw changes. Just in case bylaws don’t get you motivated to drive to Mercer Island, the September presentation will be by Kalli Willson on Wilderness first aid. For the love of your hiking partners, you need to be there!!

After the Executive Committee Meeting adjourned, several members went on outdoor excursions. Precisely on cue, that’s when the dry weather ended!
